About Sedilu!
My name is Dinnetta and I am a mother of a wonderful little boy named Lucian (seen here in my lap to the left) and a stepmother to 2 fabulous other kids - Kourtnee (seen on the other lap) and Taylor (below). I am engaged to an amazing man named Sean and we absolutely love family.
I began sewing only about 3 years ago and haven't looked back, although I did take a slight hiatus to focus on school! But, I'm back at it and the creative juices are flowing! The first thing I sewed was probably a hemline and from there I went on to make an outfit for my cousin's little girl Molly. It was then that I was hooked and I haven't looked back since! I've expanded into making blankets, bibs, burp cloths and more. My passion is creating things. My love is to create something that I can look at and say "I LOVE IT!". I take pride in my work and actually began making Backpacks and selling them on eBay. I still do this, however under another business name. (I'm amazingshoppe on eBay! Mario and Pokemon backpacks & lunch bags are what I specialize in!)
Sedilu is a boutique brand of clothing and baby items. Everything is created with love and care.
I started Sedilu to quench my thirst for something more. I work full time outside of our home, and I thoroughly enjoy it, but I strive to be at home, sewing and creating items for people! There is a certain joy to creating something that someone says "I LOVE IT!" I enjoy what I do very much and it shows in my workmanship! Sometimes the kids help me choose colors or fabric and Lucian, especially, comes with me to the store and while he's hiding amongst the bolts of fabric, he'll show me what he likes and he'll inspire another design. It's a flowing process at all times!
I started this little site to allow for my customers easier access to the different fabrics that I have so that special requests on etsy were much easier! I believe that my clients are the best and treat them like family - so welcome!
